Schedule

The state licensing exam for mortgage brokers usually takes place on the 4th Tuesday of each month, except November and December when the dates are adjusted for the holidays. Occasionally, the state will move some students to a Weds exam date if there is an overflow, but this will not apply out-of-state students. Our pre-licensing classes are conducted on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday all day) before the test dates. Some students prefer to take the class a month prior to or right before the test, depending on their learning preferences. Space permitting, we allow students to attend more than one time at no extra charge, just let us know!

The last class of 2007 is December 8 & 9, exam - December 11.

The STATE EXAM dates are listed above as a courtesy; Academy of Mortgage Education only conducts the required class, not the state exam. You will receive a letter from the Florida Office of Financial Regulation regarding your test date, time and location. Calculator- bring a "regular" calculator. (FYI- the state does NOT allow the use of financial calculators during the state exam.)

Class starts promptly at 8:00 AM. PLEASE be on time. Doors to this corporate building are kept locked on the weekends;if you are late, you will have to call the instructor and someone will have to come out to let you in. We understand emergencies, but the state requires that you MUST be present for ALL required hours to receive a certificate of completion. You will have to attend another class to make up any missed time.

Cell phone use: Please turn your phone off or on "silent" while class is in session. Calls may be returned at break time or after class.
